Texas okra fields were pretty nasty stuff to pick, and white German children picked okra for a living. This was without force though. History happened, and slavery is different than not being able to afford good today, but it is similar to the fact that those with lower income today will never enjoy the things people with higher income do. It's a question of quality of life regarding the poor vs the middle, and rich classes. We can continue this annomosity of poor workers with poor wages and low quality of life, or set standards that require companies to pay standard wages, laws that enact social security to pay the true cost of living yearly. If robots take over where will people make money?
