If it was a requirement for homeowners to have solar power on their roofs, and the government incentives allowed them to afford it, we wouldn't have to uglify the beautiful landscape with solar farms and wind farms, all to give more profits to corporate energy companies who received tax funded incentives to place these energy producing monsters anywhere that would allow them to.

All new homes, since 2020, in Calif are required to have solar panels installed. At same time they are building even more windmill farms…

And WHERE do those solar panels all come from? 🙄

Not Solyndra, that’s for sure

We won't be able to buy new ICE (sorry libs, that stands for internal combusion engine, as not an EV) vehicles as of 2035.

Wake up America! This is the kind of Taxifornia fascism that Kamala wanted to do, and that socialist Greasy Gavin Nussolini will do if he's elected POTUS.

Government should not *require* and / or *incentivize* this. People who want it should be able to have it, the end.

A company from Florida shouldn't purchase farmland in the Midwest to place a 400+ acre solar farm with money given from the state and federal government. Most people cannot afford to place solar panels. But for some reason millions of dollars are handed out to companies to purchase land and place solar farms in areas that should be environmentally protected with hawks, geese, and bald eagles flying around not to mention the quail and non existent wetlands that been converted back to farmland since the 60s

You are absolutely correct - I think it's simply a means to make a lot of money for certain people

They are massively expensive to produce, ship and site and they only work when there's the right wind to turn them. They tend to mince birds and beach whales but other than that, they're great !

Never heard of beaching whales.

Donald Trump has claimed that wind turbines off the coast of the US "are causing whales to die in numbers never seen before".

These claims have attracted significant attention on social media, where a clip of Mr Trump's speech has now been viewed more than nine million times.

But Mr Trump's claims are not backed up by evidence.

Can you name the date of the speech. I like to verify facts because the left lie like dogs.

Huh! You actually found a real one. At the time though, it was unknown. It looks like wind mills do affect whale prey which change location which can cause whales to get caught in nets and ship propellers more often. Which causes 40% of beached whales. So they have an indirect effect. Plus they are basically garbage anyway, never producing more energy than was used to make them.

We have an insane net zero policy here in the UK - Pointless wind turbines and unpopular solar panel farms
