Here’s two images where you can see people sitting in front of these enormous scenes. The part you can’t see is that the images are in motion… the boat moves along, the spots in the sky drift along, then there’s projectors pointing down shifting light so you feel like you’re in the scene. I should try to add a video clip for you. One of the coolest things was a virtual reality display. You’d sit down with your goggles on and you would move though scenes that were connected. You’d start in an upstairs bedroom, then look out the window before drifting down the stairs and out the door into a world that he had painted. You glide down the path and across the fields from painting to painting. You would get to the town which was alive. I absolutely loved it.
The show moves from city to city. I signed up for the Monet one, but that hasn’t happened yet here. This was set up in an abandoned building / theater. They are run by a company called, “Fever”.
