"One of the most striking things about yesterday’s Zelensky press conference was Lindsey Graham’s reaction to it. The two are old friends, but Graham disavowed him within the hour. This was more than just transactional disloyalty. It was scapegoating. Lindsey Graham knows what’s coming. Over the past three years, with the tacit support of its western patrons, the Ukrainian government has committed a remarkable number of serious crimes. The Ukrainians sold huge quantities of American weapons on the international black market at twenty cents on the dollar. These weapons are now in the hands of armed groups around the world, including Hamas, the Mexican drug cartels and the forces now controlling Syria. God knows what the Ukrainians have done with the pathogens in American biolabs in their country. Even US intel agencies aren’t sure. The Ukrainians have also murdered a number of people in various countries in political assassinations, and tried to murder others, including American journalists and a European head of state. This is all true, and it’s all going to come out at some point. Better to start blaming it on Zelensky now."

Not surprisingly, fear mongering. The only one of those three that he's even mentioned anything related to military action is Panama. Unless of course you can prove he wants to invade Canadia or Greenland. Please provide a few URLs showing him saying either. Because if he said that about Canaidia or Greenland, I need to get caught up. Thanks.

Generally, saying you want a country to become one of your own countries' states is seen as "taking over".

Of course, he's not going to invade them, but wanting to add them to your collection isn't exactly peaceful.
0 ups, 1mo
Wow, I can definitely see how a Kamala word salad supporter could compose that. He's not going to invade, but he's going to take over... okay, let's go with that.

So Trump collects countries now?

Speaking of another country Trump wants to "collect", did you hear about what's going down in Panama? Probably not, because it shows how Trump's negotiation style works.

It amazes me how someone could live through Trump 1.0, seeing how he negotiates and how successful he was, and now living in Trump 2.0, where he says things like he wants to take over the Panama canal, and they think that's his final position.

I'll explain it to you, simply. Using a 1 to 100 scale, he says 100, even if he's somewhere around 33. He'll negotiate down, and usually end up somewhere around 50 or 60. That's working (so far at least0 with the Ukraine mess Biden left him, AND with the Gaza mess that Biden left him. And now it is working with the Panama canal mess that Carter left him.

I don't know about you, but so far I'm nowhere near tired of all this winning.

At what point do you actually start figuring out what's going on by yourself, and stop believing what the media, which has been proven to compulsively lie about Trump, wants you to believe. They're literally telling you what you think you know. How is that right?

Do I need to list all their lies for you? Probably, because they won't admit to them.

You may not be familiar with Sharyl Attkisson, since she's a respected journalist (which generally got you fired up until recently...) but she has a list of all the lies told about Trump. And believe me when I say that she's pretty strict and often calls these mistakes or when she gets all riled up, misinformation. But they're lies.

Unlike leftists, when Trump says take over, he doesn’t mean by force.

Yes they are.

They're to the left of conservatives and Republicans, but they are not economically left as they are in favor of capitalism.

So capitalism is an economic system you can only frame in terms of political views?

Try framing it from the perspective of freedom and see if that modifies your thinking.

Capitalism and freedom have produced more wealth for more people than any other combination of economic systems and philosophies, period.

I mean, if you're truly left-wing, you aren't a capitalist.

I agree, although capitalism doesn't necessarily equal freedom. (anarcho-capitalist levels of extreme)

If you're left of center-left, you're a leftist.

Yes, they are, but that tends to be the Green Party. Most liberals and democrats are still economically right.

Ummm. no. Even the right, is not technically economically right, nowadays. The entire sphere has drifted to the left, so much so that Obama, who was considered the most leftist president ever in his time, is now seen as a moderate, and Republicans have more in common with Clinton's policies than Ronald Reagan. But, the whole topic is up for debate, because the winds of change keep altering how we define these terms anyway, so, have it your way.

I think Democrats have gone further left in recent years, but Republicans have moved further right in response. If you were to chart it out, we aren't actually that far apart.

Agree to disagree I guess.

Republicans have moved MAGA in recent years. Yes, MAGA has some to the right, just like Democrat party has many on the left (AOC and her squad-mates are the easiest example.) But MAGA is about freedom, not being right wing. If you don't get that, I understand. Because the media has not told you it's okay to think anything other than what they tell you to think, and they don't like MAGA.
0 ups, 1mo
I'm going to disagree about MAGA being pro-freedom, but I don't feel like arguing about it since online political conversations don't benefit either person.

"The media has brainwashed you" gaslighting is one example of why I don't like MAGA. I'm pretty open-minded and I live in a very conservative area and I've decided that they're not people I want to be around.

Wrong.

Take Kamala for an example. According to your "logic" she would not be a leftists.

But she wanted the govt to control prices, right?

Square that with your naive views about libs not being leftists. I bet you can't, because nobody could.
0 ups, 1mo
Does one example of leftist views automatically make someone a leftist?

Most leftists resent liberals. Liberalism in general is still right-wing, just more left than conservatives.

Yep, they sure are.

In the old days, meaning pre-Trump, leftists were generally considered far left, like socialists or even communists.

But the modern Democrat party has moved so far to the left, as their mainstream positions indicate, that they are truly leftists.

The days of the moderate democrat seem, sadly to be over. I used to be one, but the party abandoned me, and I grew up.
0 ups, 1mo
I would disagree, the Democratic party is definitely right-wing as opposed to social Democrats.
