I don't think we yet know half the extent of all that was done that first day. Trump hit the White House going light speed this time. We know there were over 1000 appointees in DOGE who did not require Senate approval who hit the bureaucracies within minutes of the Oath of Office being complete and several thousands not requiring Senate approval were also aggressively taking the reigns of power out of Biden bureaucratic staffers hands, unlike a traditional transition of power. Trump learned just how destructive those lagging people can be from experience.
In the world of diplomacy, Trump had to do some very clear moves to reassert the national authority Biden had squandered. The symbolic influence of these seemingly trivial things had more impact on the world stage than most know, much of it was reasserting our status as the world's superpower. Within minutes of the Oath, diplomatic channels were on fire, letting literally every other nation, particularly hostile nations (which includes France, England, Canada, Australia and Mexico among others) know it was no longer business as usual for the globalist movement. Not only these things, but Trump was also getting in the face of all those who called him a nazi, a convicted felon, a rapist, a threat to democracy, a threat to world peace and every other lie they threw at him and us as American citizens. These small things consumed liberals for weeks and threw them off their obstructionist goals. They focused on these things and let down their guard on protecting their corrupt systems just long enough to let the camel get it's nose under the tent to open meaningful investigations.
Does changing the name really change much? Not really, but it was a 30 second move that sent a resounding message.
