So there's only two reasons for Trump's DOJ to drop these charges. As you and others point out, they can be brought again (they were dismissed without prejudice). So maybe Trump can put the squeeze on him for info on the other libtards who are gaming the system. Politics is a messy and often evil enterprise. Bad things are going to happen. I prefer to have someone like Trump who knows what to look for and is willing to actually do something about it. Of course, he better not break the law in doing so, or he's no better than demontard ilk.

Or, Adams could actually be innocent, and the Brandon administration was out to persecute him with lawfare, a la what they did to Trump. But he's a dem, why would they do that? Even if Adams is dirty, and he seems to be, the Biden DOJ's obviously political persecution/prosecution of him has completely blown up the case. Why bother trying to continue it, with almost no chance of any convictions?

So the Trump administration is trying to salvage the situation by at least getting NYC into compliance with federal immigration laws. What else can they do?

The problem is that the lib savages in New York will crucify Adams if he's perceived to be cooperating with the Trump administration. And that's what seems most likely now.

Republicans in NYC (like me) will come out and vote for Adams during the next Democratic Primarys.
