Although tough to maintain, it is very easy to nail the fingerings down than the trombone where if you slide just a smidge too far it will sound very wrong. Trombone also takes years to actually sound good from a player, where in a few weeks if not a few months, a player can read and play sheet music. Those are the reasons why tenor saxophone is the superior instrument.
