"Up to 2034, immigrants will generate more in tax revenue ($1.2T) than they cost in federal spending ($300B), leading to a net reduction of $900 billion in the deficit.
While states and localities may experience short-term financial strain, the federal budget benefits overall.
Long-term costs could increase due to aging immigrants qualifying for more benefits, but this is offset by economic expansion and workforce contributions."

Sorry... I''m talking about illegals... something your meme was talking about...

Quite so. I do believe that there was talk of wanting to deport dreamers as well. So, there's that. Also, with what's currently going on...
"These staggering sums could be used for untold other benefits to this country. For the same costs as pursuing a strategy of mass deportations of one million people a year, sustained over 10-plus years until 13.3 million people have either been deported or left on their own, the United States could:

Build over 40,450 new elementary schools in communities around the nation.
Construct over 2.9 million new homes in communities around the nation.
Fund the Head Start program for nearly 79 years.
Pay full tuition and expenses for over 4.3 million people to attend a private college for four years, or over 8.9 million people to attend an in-state public college for four years.
Buy a brand-new car for over 20.4 million people.
A single year of a million-deportation regime, with its $88 billion price tag, would cost:

Nearly twice the annual budget of the National Institutes of Health.
Nearly four times the budget of NASA.
Nearly three times as much as the federal government spends on child nutrition.
More than the government gives out in the Child Tax Credit program.
Eighteen times more than the entire world spends each year on cancer research."

Can't pay taxes yearly in April if you don't have a social security number...
0 ups, 2w
You don't need one. You can use an ITIN to stay within the law. Especially if you're seeking to be granted citizenship. Showing that commitment works more favorably in immigration court.

Wow!

Now compare that to the number of Americans they have raped and murdered.

I know, I know, "they commit far less crimes than Americans"...because there are far less of them.

Before you start in about the "rate", no one knows how many of them there are because they didn't sign in, or how many unsolved crimes were committed by them.

I am going to be direct - I do not care if illegal immigrants paid twice that amount in taxes.

They do not belong in America having infiltrated in violation of US law.

Your source states they are grossly underpaid and use fake social security numbers or misused ITINs.

You seem to be advocating for the continued exploitation of "brown people"
0 ups, 2w
It's not because they're fewer in number. They just don't do it as often as Americans who are three times more likely to do so:
"A 2018 study by the Cato Institute found that conviction rates for sexual offenses in Texas were lower among undocumented immigrants (26 per 100,000) and legal immigrants (11 per 100,000) compared to native-born citizens (104 per 100,000)."

"You're in favor of Immigrants being exploited..."
No.
"Immigrants in the United States are entitled to minimum wage under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), regardless of their immigration status. This includes undocumented immigrants.
The FLSA protects all individuals from being paid less than minimum wage.
This includes overtime pay, which is usually 1.5 times the regular pay rate for hours worked over 40 in a work week.
The FLSA applies to all foreign drivers and their helpers who spend a substantial period of time in the U.S.
However, immigrants are more likely to be low-wage workers than U.S.-born workers. For example, in 2001, nearly half of all immigrant workers earned less than 200% of the minimum wage.
Factors that affect immigrant wages
Unauthorized immigrants: Unauthorized immigrants may be paid less than the minimum wage.
Skill level: Low-skilled immigrants are more likely to be paid less than the minimum wage.
Industry: Immigrants who work in immigrant-intensive industries may be more likely to be paid less than the minimum wage."

But this is also true:
"Up to 2034, immigrants will generate more in tax revenue ($1.2T) than they cost in federal spending ($300B), leading to a net reduction of $900 billion in the deficit.
While states and localities may experience short-term financial strain, the federal budget benefits overall.
Long-term costs could increase due to aging immigrants qualifying for more benefits, but this is offset by economic expansion and workforce contributions."

So let's get more judges to be able to process their claim so they can contribute more. This is fiscal conservatism.

"You seem to be advocating for the continued exploitation of "brown people""

How telling that you have lumped immigrants (illegal or not) into a little box of "brown people."

You actually said the quiet part out loud. Notice I was speaking of all immigrants. But I am *SURE* it was just an "accidental slip." Right, Regularfeller?

You need to subtract the amount they took out and compare that to what we would have had without them.

Let's not pretend that the majority of the right wing cares either way. It's just a red herring bit of virtue signaling.

Oh, not at all!

I could never pretend to understand what goes on in the mind of the MAGA Right Wing. Their positions change so often, that it's become an exercise in futility. The only way I could come close to pretend to know what goes on in the mind of MAGA RW, is if I took every accusation they [in majority] made as a confession of what they have done or are about to do.

Where was the insult?

So you don't pretend, but are pretending anyway. And accusing people of hypocrisy and flip flopping are insults. You're also give a nice example of the Bulverism fallacy.

It's a fact that their policies change frequently. It's also a fact that the MAGA Republican movement is rife with hypocrisy. Please don’t project onto me—I’ve engaged with you before, and it has never led to a productive conversation. You're welcome to disagree with the facts, but I’m not responsible if those facts offend you.

As for “pretending,” stating observable behavior is not the same as assuming their thought process. The reality is that, by and large, MAGA does not prioritize the concerns of first-generation immigrants.

I even looked back through past discussions to find your stance on immigrants—Dreamers or otherwise—and I couldn't find anything that shows real concern for legal immigrants. The absence of evidence suggests it's simply not a priority for you. You might understand the difference, but you don't seem to care enough to engage on this serious issue.

With that said, I’m done here. I won’t entertain further discussion because of your consistent bad faith arguments and refusal to concede even basic points. You don’t debate in good faith—you argue to “win,” rather than seeking truth. That’s a nonstarter for any meaningful conversation.

To acknowledge your point, I never said all MAGA supporters are indifferent. I specifically stated, "Let’s not pretend that the majority of the right wing..." making sure to distinguish rather than generalize. But based on what I’ve observed, the traits I mentioned are consistent.

This isn’t up for debate. You can reply if you wish, but arguing that I don’t understand what I’ve seen, read, or heard would be gaslighting. I already know your playbook, and last time you fell right into your own trap. If you insist on the same pattern, I’ll simply block you. I don’t expect agreement, but if you want to leave it at “agree to disagree,” we can walk away and try again another time.

If you actually want to have a conversation, that’s fine—but you need to establish credibility first.

Lord bless you and keep you.

You can't obverse the thoughts in peoples heads. And assigning traits as if people are a herd mind is prejudice. You cannot even say the majority for this because you do not have a representative sample to judge.

Absence of evidence is not an argument, unless you support eating babies because you haven't said otherwise. As ridiculous as that is, it is the standard you set.

The plural is anecdote s not data, so you're using an anecdotal evidence fallacy to justify and assigning unprovable motive to refuse to honestly debate and assigning motives to over for it. My experiences can easily be quite different from anyone else's on a given topic. When then everyone has their own personal biases they heap on top of what they've seen.

You shoulda said "Agree to disagree."
Gonna block you as you're baiting me into another semantic back and forth that accomplishes nothing.

Good day.
0 ups, 2w
You're the one using fallacy and accusing me of gas lighting for pointing it out. That isn't semantics, but a huge flaw in your thinking. I guess it's easier to hide from the truth and block me than listen to reason.

I know quite a few “newcomers” who have two or three kids, no husband, but a live-in baby daddy, and collect food stamps and earned income tax credit for children. They aren’t paying any tax.

Plenty of Americans do that as well.
