Not sure what you mean, most factories will hire vets just because they show up on time, do their jobs and cause no problems.

Used to be that way. Even the post office been screwing veterans over jobs.

Maybe in Blue states, I think a lot of problems are dependent on location.

Arkansas and Tennessee. Both times I took the test, both times interviewed. In Arkansas it was me and some black kid with an afro who must have been 18‐19 as the last round of the interview. In Tennessee they where doing a mass recruitment so we had table interview and the post office recruiter asked me if I served during the years of so and so (war time) or during the following wars, I told him no, I served during this time through this time, then he told me that because I was not a veteran who served during those war periods I did not quilted for veteran employment bonus. Was not hired in for any of those events. But get this, something I learned is that no one gives a darn about veterans. That is why you have so many on the streets.

It saddens me to hear that, I know a few people that work for the PO and other delivery services, all vets. I am not one of the vets with his 201 file on his truck window, I wear nothing that identifies me as a vet, It has been years since I went in a VFW, asked for a military discount. So I don't feel qualified to respond to you people don't care comment, I suspect like most things now, location is everything. Locally we do have mom and pop stores with signs telling everyone about military discounts, I don't use them, not in a mom and pop store I might at home depot, if I shopped there.

Every vet held up a hand and promised to give all if needed, serving in a war don't make people special. I killed people darker than me because Obama said they wore the wrong skin tone and spoke funny. I am older now and realize that if we had sat down and talked, left them to their own way of life no one had to get hurt. I don't ID myself as a vet because I think I wasted that portion of my life and have spent years talking youth out of joining our nations woke military. I hope that one day America will once again defend freedom instead of robbing it from others, but I haven't seen any positive changes yet.

Not every DEI 'professional' can learn to code. Some will have to shovel coal.
