wild fires, drought, man made fires, (accidental and arson etc) why wouldn't you be prepared? Especially when you are the richest state in the union and Have the funds to do it..

I am a Union Electrician, Local 98 Philadelphia.
Some of LA's power grid is over 100 yrs old.
some of it would not be up to code for PA since the 60s
maybe CA has different laws.?(you would think more stringent )?

She had to apply for a permit just to drain it and it took the Bureaucrats of LA
1 yr just to give her the permit. wtf..

How can they be so strict in some areas and absolutely lax elsewhere?

I asked my dad, (also electrician born pre ww2) to look at the video of
some of Cali's transformers and insulators and he said "thats before my time"
