If Canada joined with the US each of the territories could retain their own state-hood', otherwise Alaska's Eastern Boarder could be extended to include the Yukon, the Northwest territories, and Nunavut. British Columbia could be joined to Washington, Alberta and Saskatchewan could be part of Montana. Manitoba could be part of North Dakota, Ontario could be the North part of Minnesota. New Foundland/Nova Scotia/New Brunswick could join with Maine. Quebec would stay its own thing. This is a complete pipe-dream though it would probably be a great opportunity, politically, for the Democratic Party to absorb what would likely be a group of 'new' Blueys and progressive socialists party members
