It solves more than one problem for them.

I have friends that I've known since I was 5 be under a school threat (luckily it was only a threat and nobody was injured, but we didn't know at the time) (the threat also involved fake gunshots in the building). I go to a different school but am close enough that we were also on alert. The feeling you have when some of your closest friends are running away from school in groups sucks. I was in contact with them and they had to exit in small groups and go to another building nearby. My friends didn't all leave at the same time and some of them were in classrooms with the door blocked. It sucks when your friends tell you they could die.

When you actually experience a situation where your closest friends could be shot and killed, you'll think differently. I hate it when grown adults tell me that they can't solve the issue because "guns are my rights" or "it's liberal propaganda"

I hate those people. My friends could have died that day and nothing would have changed. All they would do is say, "Sorry about that, anyways here are our prayers and condolences"

That utterly sucks. I have a friend who teaches, and someone asked him at a holiday party, "But aren't you afraid of school shootings?"

That that should be someone's first thought when hearing that you teach is tragic, and that the logical response is, "But this is America. Mass shootings happen EVERYWHERE," just makes it worse.

Interpreting the Second Amendment as an unrestricted all-access pass to guns is clearly a terrible thing for our society. Feel free to post about this on the imgflip.com/m/GunsKillPeople stream, and I hope you and your friends stay safe.

Also, whenever someone brings up gun control, the right acts like all guns will be confiscated and given to the government. Gun control just means more restrictions on buying guns. It worries me that kids in my school could go to a store and buy an AR-15 for a few hundred dollars.

Gosh, that's cheaper than going to Prom in a limo. What a messed-up state of affairs.
