HAHAHA, that's great!

At the time, I don't know if you recall a member, SSTTUUAATTAA (something like that).
We decided since they were cracking down on the Hellman's condiment thing giving people timers for that, that we should come up with alternatives for 'White.' We were going to do a whole series of them. I suggested, "ecru," and so that became the first one, talking about "ecru people." Once we would start getting timers for that, then it would be on to the next word, whatever that would be.
