Having the choice to care for others is freedom and good people will choose to do so.
Being forced to "help" others is slavery, and punishes good people along with those that need help.

There’s a vast difference between “helping someone” and enabling someone. What you are thinking of is giving everyone everything they want for free. That’s not “helping.” That’s enabling laziness. Helping by giving charity (something individuals do far better than society at large, see the results of GoGundMe and GiveSendGo endeavors) is to be reserved for those who are truly disabled and can’t work. Giving everything to those who won’t work should not be encouraged. Actually helping them would be by giving them a job so they can support themselves.
