Actually the majority group of voters opted not to vote at all.
Trump won the majority of VOTES, not of (registered) voters. Add those who sat it out to those who voted against Trump, and you got a deafening majority.
And a huge portion of voting for him was simply because of the price of eggs. Because it sucks really bad throwing out the standard average of 40% of our groceries when they cost that much. It almost makes people feel guilty like they're wasting food & money or something,,,
