Understanding a crime has nothing to do with assisting them. Accomplices are also punished. Why would it make sense to punish millions of people because they understand someone's motives? The fact that you think anyone with an opinion on a crime should be charged for it is crazy.

It is not okay to kill a CEO for any reason EXCEPT in the IMMEDIATE exercise of self defense out of a REASONABLE fear of great bodily harm or death of one's self or of that of another.

Not stalking, lurking, and shooting a CEO in the back because one contracted for insurance and later decided one doesn't like the policies that one signed an agreement of acceptance.

Again - if his surgery failed it is the surgeon and not the insurer that is at fault.
