Yes, though not necessarily because they get older. Since Dawn is American I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), the child is most likely going to go through an American curriculum. And if you were to look at the average history textbook as objectively as possible, then it's clear how blatantly anti-communist it can be. Not even mentioning how anti-communist American media can be.
As someone who has that curriculum (who isn't in the U.S.), a personal experience I've had with this is a history textbook comparing Nazi Germany to the USSR under Stalin because they both had secret police (saying that Germany had the Gestapo while the Soviets had the KGB, which is the same). Ignoring the fact that by this definition, America also has "secret police" (the CIA).
You could argue that both the Gestapo and KGB were more brutal, but it's not like the CIA's history is perfectly clean (look up MKUltra and CIA black sites).
Generally, whether it's from a communist or anti-communist perspective, I hate it when history is twisted to serve a narrative, and the truth is purposefully obscured with emotionally charged language.
