This is an unethical way of saying that God did no good to this world, he doesn't love us, he only cares about christians only, and that he doesn't care about when one of us goes to hell. The truth is, God works through ways that we don't see as God doing his work. For example, a charity organization opens up a well in africa so people can drink is God's doing, he is only just doing that through that charity because God loves every single one of us because he created every single one of us. The meme you created is sick because you think God doesn't care about us and wants suffering in the world when in reality, he is always working around the clock to make earth a better place for others who are suffering.

"If there is a god, he'll have to beg for my forgiveness” A Message scratched into a brick wall in the Auschwitz Camp

Seems like god doesn't give af about anyone.

He still does care about us. Even when it looks like he just allows sin for no reason. The truth is, God wants us to be on the right path, a path leading to God. And when we don't follow that path, there is always some pain along the way.

If you remember the Jews, they were not sin free. Well, no one is sin free. We will choose the wrong path always. We are reluctant to pain, so we choose the right path. Those sins from all those innocent people were sure to lead to something. It was punishment for abandoning God, a punishment for sin.

But all in all, God lets us choose what path we go on, but God wants us on the right path so we don't encounter evil, and evil includes pain. It is basically how parents taught their children. I know it sounds awful and in my perspective, i does feel awful. But know that if God never cared about anyone then we would fall into evil to be tormented.

Why is it okay to make someone miserable as long as you compensate them?

Are you saying the holocaust was god's way of punishing sinners? Wouldn't they get punished anyway after they die?
0 ups, 7mo,

That was evil, not God. That is the reason he wants us on the right path
0 ups, 7mo
And he doesn't want us getting punished in the afterlife. Think jesus and his crucifiction.

The holocaust has a reason? God had a "purpose" for the holocaust?

That sounds messed up to me.

Not as much, but nationalism leads to extreme things like nazism.

Nationalism literally lead to nazism in Germany.

This is exactly the same symptom of a false god every other religion has:

the god is unambiguously active in their own holy texts but when it comes to the real world you must attribute the mundane to the miraculous.
0 ups, 7mo,

you don't see god's activeness

See, the problem is I could make the same excuse for any of the gods you don't believe in.

It's the same pattern

God is still as active a before and will always be. It is just like a radio station. It is as busy as a bee. But you don't just hear the activeness of that radio station unless if you tune into it. That is the same for God. All you have to is open your eyes and ears and be less ignorant. The reason why there were "no miracles performed by God" is because we stopped recording them as so. For example, the 2020 pandemic ending was Gods doing because he heard our prayers and listened. Slavery doesn't exist anymore because of God. Nor do the Nazis (besides the Neo Nazis). Claiming that God "isn't as active as in the bible" is just ignorant of itself because you don't take into account some of the big events that effected mankind for good. Just because Wikipedia doesn't say "God did this" or "God did that" doesn't mean it wasn't God's doing. You can find that in books or just straight up talking to people. I think you know the saying "Not everything you see on the internet is true" and this is applied here too. Now again I ask, Agree to Disagree?

"For example, the 2020 pandemic ending was Gods doing because he heard our prayers and listened."

You're proving my point: The pandemic ending still makes perfect sense if you don't try to shoehorn god into it.

In fact the history of human health makes more sense if god doesn't exist and we as a species are just learning how to take care of ourselves.

"Slavery doesn't exist anymore because of God."

Slavery doesn't exist because cultural norns no longer supported it after thousands of years of slaves living their entire lives aa slaves.

In fact, the old testament has sets of instructions for slave ownership depending on whether the slave is a foreigner or a Hebrew debt slave.

"Nor do the Nazis (besides the Neo Nazis). "

The nazis ceased to exist because the allies ended them.

Yeah, but most gods are different from allah, or Jehovah or whatever you call god. They demand food or blood and have an animal head, but in the end of the day all they demand is complete and utter submission. Granted, Abraham is god is like that too, but also provides morals and values for life about love, forgiveness and respect. Hence, Christianity still exists and belief in Ra or Thor or Zeus does not

Without the holocaust, the UN wouldn’t have a hissy fit every time a possible genocide was committed, and it may be far more common than it otherwise would be. We’ve always had and always will have genocide, but due to the scale of the holocaust, we all think “never again” when we see news of another one come onto the news, and usually try to act on it. In other words, the holocaust taught the world about having responsibility for its citizens and taking action against those who threaten them. Expecting god to do all the work is just lazy and whiny. Like blaming your parents for not being there when YOU decide to climb onto a table then fall off and hurt yourself (a lesson learnt from the university of life). If you think god isn’t there at all, that’s because you don’t notice. The sunshine, the breeze, the beauty of the world that we enjoy is all God’s work, and we take it for granted.

Sure, you might not agree or even care, but instead of blaming God for the evils of the world, or the prime minister or president, or whoever, try fixing them yourself, and shut the f**k up about the beliefs and faith of other people, you grumpy sod!
0 ups, 4d
I'm not even going to comment on your apathetic stance on genocide.

An omnipotent god can easily do anything. Having expectations doesn't make someone lazy.

Sure, I'll just go right ahead and fix every issue! Thanks for the reminder! /s

Hey hey... christians aren't supposed to swear buddy. You came into an atheist stream and are telling ME to stop talking about beliefs and faith?!?

THATS the definition of God; an eternal being. If something exists, it didn't just come there. But by logical thinking (not trying to put you down bro) the starting point of all matter would have to be an eternal God who exists simply because he has to exists
You do realize the big bang is still just a theory right

Why does a god have to exist?

Yes, I know that. Science is always changing since we find out new things every day.

You can't say that god is anything more than a theory.

God has to exists since other things exists, like rocks and clouds.... they need a creator because it's a rule of science that nothing can't create something. Besides, Who else but an artistic genius could create flowers and forests and waterfalls and stuff
0 ups, 5mo
You can't even prove that a god exists. Not having a definitive explanation for the universe's existence doesn't automatically make a god the answer. It's absurd to believe there's an invisible being that hovers around and grants wishes.

There is no such thing as "nothing", matter and energy just take different forms.

How did your god get into the universe?

You know, „God works in mysterious ways”. But for some reason, he is not so mysterious as to prevent them from calling him good, omnipotent etc. Nor is he mysterious when they claim something like „it’s obvious the universe has a creator”. Which means they use a double standard to refer to their fictitious sky daddy. Although I think this constitutes the least problem in all the murky depths of their flawed, sick, perverted logic.
0 ups, 1w
F**k you too, buddy! Not a theist I see. Tell me, what is so flawed and perverted about “love thy neighbour as you love yourself”, or “thou shalt not kill”. That’s the main thing I take away from reading the bible, along with respect for women, forgiveness and human decency.
P.S good is a matter of perspective. Losing three million in roulette is bad for you, but not the gentleman or woman whom you play against, and S/he may do something good with that money (see the “butterfly effect” for a better explanation on how bad things can lead to good things). In the same way, you ain’t even close to god, so who are you to decide s/he’s a “fictional sky daddy”.
