Yes the ice glaziers covering most of Northern America, melted away over the centuries due to global Warming. The European Renaissance was a direct result of Global Warming of their time. Milder weather less crop failures. In the 70s the scientific community were fearful of Global Freezing, claimed it was due to Carbon Monoxide from the Industrial Revolution. Now it is Carbon Dioxide. You know the stuff that causes plants to grow and produce Oxygen. So no it is not a problem.
