I can also name another problem with moving to Italy, that country also has its own right-wing populist serving as Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni who is probably further to the right than Trump. She made a law taking away the rights of adoptive gay parents, requiring a child to have the names of both its biological parents on its birth certificate. American leftists scream "genocide of LGBTQ+ people" when Florida bans sexualized drag dances in front of kids, they are of course not gonna like Meloni's anti-LGBT laws any more to say the least. I seem to recall Italy is a more conservative country to begin with.
