Oh. I get it. It's fiction. It's a dystopian world where if the rich didn't exist then no one would ever have to work. We could all just sit around starving to death but being happy that we would never ever have to lift a finger to do anything ever again. And we all have magic talking scarves to let us know that we never have to work for anything.
The fact is this. People get rich all the time. Rich people go broke all the time. It is not a monolithic world out there. The rich don't stay rich because of all of the money they accumulated, they stay rich because they have to work at it. Otherwise all of that money would just go away. You see, rich people spend money also, lots of money because they have lots of money. They do not hoard that money because they have to eat, buy clothes, buy gas, make mortgage payments, pay for utilities. But mostly they pay taxes. The top 1% pays 90% of all income tax collected by the IRS.
Here is the problem with your entire premise. Your argument ONLY works if wealth is finite. It is not, it's infinite. Wealth is not money. Wealth is the value of a good and/or service. Wealth is intangible. You can pick a TV but that is not wealth, it is the product an exchange for something you value less than the TV because to you that TV has some utilitarian value.
Here is how you get wealthy. Wealth is created in the exchange of an item you value less for an item you value more. The other person who you are making this exchange with also values what he is selling less than what you are giving him. And just like that both of you now have items that you both value a lot. You are both now wealthier. And this is repeated every time you buy something, you both become wealthier.
But there is a down size. Marxists. Marxists have infiltrated our government, our schools, our news media and our entertainment media. They preach ideas like the rich do not exchange one value for another. No. The rich just come along and steal your money leaving you with nothing... well.. except for that product or service you've wanted or needed.
And now you're trying to tell me that the rich are enslaving us all. And it is not just the guy I work for, it is all of the rich. Every last one of them is enslaving me. That is 100% USDA Select bull crap. The rich have no power over me. I don't have to work for anyone. I can start my own business. I can write a book that perpetuates a false narrative. I can be a farmer.
