I'm not mocking them, but you have to understand that some of them join the military because they cannot function in regular society. It's similar to the institutionalized prisoners that need someone to tell them what to do and when to do it. Releasing either of those people back into society doesn't end well. And before you say that everyone who joins the military is a hero, some of the most famous serial killers were in the military. Charles Whitman was a Marine Corps sniper who in 1966 stabbed his wife and mother to death and then killed 15 people from a clock tower at the university in Austin. They made 2 movies based on that. David Berkowitz aka the Son of Sam served in the U.S. Army. Jeffrey Dahmer served in the Army. Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer, served in the Navy and was convicted of murdering 49 women. Remember, you can be brave and stupid at the same time. Keep that in mind when they draft you and the guy next to you starts talking about his video game glories.
