I doubt it was opportunistic convenience. The Dems essentially threw her out for voicing her opinions on things. She called out Obama on the way he handled something and got reprimanded for it, and so she was like "wait isn't this a free country?" She said her journey leaving the left was a long time coming.
And keep in mind, after the BS that happened in the 2020 election, many weren't even sure we'd ever see a republican in the WH again. If they won this election, democracy could have ended not just in the US, but globally. A Harris win would have enabled Democrats to completely revamp our laws to make all illegal immigration legal and give all of them the same rights to vote as us, while giving them privileges we don't get so they'd all vote blue. It would have enabled them to hammer down on X and shadily end free speech. (Elon buying Twitter was a massive blow to the left, a lot more than ppl realize, bc if the left owned all the big media companies like Facebook, Twitter, youtube, tiktok, twitch, etc., they could censor any and every thing that made them look bad and nobody would have the receipts to question them bc everything would get deleted. Because just one major app has free speech, now all those other apps can't censor information just bc they don't like it, or it will be obvious what they're doing.) If the Dems won this election, they would have come after X so hard until it folded and would have been able to control the information on the internet, just like what they said in Mission Impossible 7: "whoever controls the [internet] controls the truth".
And they would be able to use surveillance to see who don't support their ideals, which is a huge first step toward dictatorship.
And then on top of that, the US is the only major government keeping communists from achieving their shared goal since the likes of Lenin and Stalin; a one-world government dictatorship. We have always been the biggest thing standing in the way of that goal. With Europe fallen, we are now the last thing standing in the way. And if we fall, everyone does. That's why the radical left has come here to infiltrate our country. But this time, 75M Americans said "Hell no" and pushed the plan back 4 years (and hopefully longer or even forever).
And the thing is, whenever we talk about preserving the country, we get called "white nationalists". No, this is far bigger than that. This is a fight to keep the world safe from tyrants. We ain't pushing "keep America white".
