Not a single person arrested, tried and convicted for Jan 6th was charged for insurrection.
The most common charge was trespassing. Some of them were for Sarbanes-Oxley violations. Sarbanes-Oxley was the knee jerk reaction law that came about because of Enron. It basically accused every other business in the country of operating just like Enron and punished them for it with add overhead expenses that costs businesses millions to comply. How anyone riot, insurrection or just standing there could be accused of a Sarbanes-Oxley violation is beyond me. I've never read the legislation but maybe there is some provision that says no one can legally enter the Capitol Building for any reason at all, including tourism or wanting to speak to their representative. But that is just a guess.
The Oath Keepers were convicted, by the same judge, of leading the riot. They hadn't yet arrived at the Capitol Building when the riot started. Besides, anyone who has watched the videos that the media won't show you knows it was clearly the FBI who instigated and lead the riot. And it was after Capitol Police where given orders to started lobbing flash and smoke grenades and shooting rubber bullets into a crowd of peaceful protestors who were just standing outside of the Capitol Bldg. and not trying to enter it. Several where injured and one man was killed FOR DOING NOTHING ILLEGAL.
The media is reporting that Baker entered with the mob but he did not. He entered the same door that other journalists entered. He was not with the mob. He was asked on camera if he supported them trying to prevent the certification of the election and he did say, he "supported it 100%". But, Democrats, that is not a crime to say that. It is not a crime for him to say that in the Capitol Building. As much as you hated it, Democrats, we have freedom of speech AND freedom of the press. Baker has the right to report what he observed, regardless of the demands of the Democrat Party and regardless of the rulings by a corrupt U.S. District Court Judge named Christopher Cooper.
Hopefully Trump will pardon ever single one of the protestors being held indefinitely without charge and ever single one (at this point I would even include those who caused damage to the building) who were coerced into going into the Capitol Building.
I hope and investigation into this fraud leads to the arrest and conviction of everyone at the top. Even if that includes Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer.
