The only people who would really hate communism are the current capitalist elites who own the means of production because communism would mean they no longer get to exploit the working class and make money off of them. The whole capitalist idea of freedom seems to equate to the freedom to exploit people however you want to. The reason so many working class people hate communism and love capitalism is because they see themselves in false class solidarity with capitalists. Capitalist elites want the working class to be in false solidarity with them so that they don't turn to a system that doesn't allow the exploitation of the working class for profit. Communism is a system that ensures that everyone gets what they need. Capitalism is only beneficial to 1 percent of people, but that 1 percent of people don't want to say that or you'll turn to communism and communism would mean they can't exploit you. Workers who see themselves in false class solidarity with capitalists are the easiest to exploit. The capitalist elites get money off of the labor of the working class, so capitalists tell them that they can be rich too if they work hard enough. In reality, they'll probably never be as rich as the capitalist elites. But they don't want them to know that. They say that communism is bad, but communism is only bad if your priority is exploiting people. It's pretty easy to connect the dots here.
