Republicans control the Supreme Court too, in part because they blocked Obama from appointing Garland because it was too close to Obama leaving, but then four years later said the opposite when Trump appointed Barrett right before he ended up leaving.

Too close, was near a year!
Mitch McConnell argued that given that it was an election year, there very well may be a shift in what the public wants, therefore Obama's pick should be blocked. But then 4 years later he forgot his own rule when Trump only had one month left to go!

Correct, his assertion was incorrect.
It wasn't too close to Obama leaving, it was that it was within the final year of Obama leaving that his appointment was blocked.

He’ll slash regulation that hinders his profits and those of his family and cronies.
And if he’d cut taxes on the poor instead of the rich, it wouldn’t be the peasants paying. And it’s the “peasants”, not “elites”, that need help paying for the education they need to get a job that won’t be replaced by corporate automation. If big companies are gonna wipe out all the high school -level jobs, maybe they should be helping to pay for the higher education of all the unemployed people they create.
