Admittedly, I probably wouldn't have a problem with New York riots over this. This is blatant overreach.

Anywhere between 12 and 150 undiscovered species go extinct a day. Normally I'd say the same thing about squirrels, but somebody cared about this squirrel enough to give him a home and a name. As hard as it is to lose a pet, there's something about them being stolen and murdered by a tyrannical government that would justify the mass utilization of boiling tar, feathers, and guillotines.

I'm more pissed off about the fact that the government thinks it can do stuff like this without consequence.

In all honesty, I think it depends on the severity of the crime, and more importantly whether or not it's irrefutably proven that they committed that crime. That said, I believe this is the case for common people. I have no such decency toward authority.
