Socialism is bad all the way around. If a company is owned by the employees. They have to write checks if the company loses money. They loose their job, walk away, and go get another one. In a capitalist system the owner takes the risk he gets the reward. Because if it fails, he hangs onto that debt and can't do much else because he is labeled as a failure. Wow, As someone that was a staunch Blue Dog Democrat just 7 years ago...I am finding it harder and harder to justify my old opinions. This has actually been a little more eye opening that I thought it would be.

I think you've misunderstood my brief comment so I'll elaborate.

Firstly I'm not endorsing socialism.
The suggestion I'm making is in response to many MAGA and other right aligned people saying X is socialism where X can be many things.
What I've found is that almost nobody who makes such claims can accurately answer the question, "What is socialism?"
Some will say they don't know but they don't like it, a curious position to hold.
Others will offer something that better describes despotism or fascism or just a caricature of socialism.
I offer that as something that exposes people just following the herd in saying something is "socialism" when they have little idea what it actually means and further that in most cases the thing isn't well aligned with socialism.
Just a bogeyman word that can be tacked onto things to vilify the idea.

Well to answer that question socialism can be boiled down to "workers are in control of the means of production." But people are lazy and typically do not (on Average) work in their best interest unless there is a carrot and a stick. Socialism always ends in pain because the government has to step in with a huge f**king stick! People die, people starve, people hurt. You can vote for socialist policies but you have to fight to get rid of them.

You do know we all laugh at the racist thing. No one ever explains it with anything much more than it just is. There are far more rural whites that are affected by voter ID than rural blacks. More or less police in urban areas affect more black lives in urban areas than whites. and when that Patriot Front group got unmasked ...they were all liberal fresh out of college people who had taken law enforcement classes. I have been a Blue Dog Democrat my whole life (socially liberal fiscally conservative) I would be a libertarian but I went to a convention in the late 80s early 90s and couldn't deal with the public nudity men in thongs people dressed like jesus carrying a 8' wooden cross and a crown of thorns...Image is a big part of it with me. But something changed when Trump got elected. Didn't vote for him either. The left jumped the shark. Trying to stifle free speech, calling everyone racist for the slightest descent, the ACLU used to fight for the KKK's right to march! I do not know what happened over there. Who is going to decide what is hate speech? Who is going to decide what is mis/mal information? The Government? That changes every two years. Why are people wanting the government to have more power? Will you be ok with them having that power when the other side gets in? Its all lies on both sides. We no longer have news (like we ever did the internet just pulled back the curtain) Look up the smith mundt act being revised in 2012/13 under Obama. This shit has to stop. The Democrats flooding this country with illegals to get millions of votes and shipping them all over the country to effect the outcome of future elections...If they are allowed to stay and possibly vote in the future...we will never have anything but the one party (look at California, Republicans get like no votes because democrats are buying votes with government programs) We the American people are no longer safe in our own country! But yes...I do usually post centrist right to far right ideals despite being a total centrist. You cant shock/wake up anyone with middle of the road policies!
