Wow, that got off topic! The wealthy, who solidly support Harris, can pay out of pocket. It's the poor the meme is referring to

Ozempic averages $1000 a prescription for weight loss. Somewhat more than food - don't you agree?

Only if you don’t have insurance…

People without insurance need to pay more

Insurers require pre-authorization for Ozempic. It's covered for diabetics, but not for the rich seeking an easy weight loss drug.

And you don’t think rich people can find a doctor that can get you approved for it?

Sure, a doctor can prescribe it, but the insurer won't cover it. They'll pay full price.

There are ways for doctors to get around the insurance company…happens all the time. Pay a doctor and you can get pretty much anything…just ask Chandler

The doctor approves the prescription for the drug, but has no control on whether the insurance company will cover the cost of the drug for the patient. Educate yourself how prescription drug coverage works.

You're the one talking about doctor shopping. You have no clue how American health and prescription drug coverage works. You think the doctor determines what the insurance company will charge the patient for a drug. LMAO!

Like, do they write the price on the prescription or something as well?
