I will concede that China is an issue not percieved as serious by more democrats than republicans, however, given the Trump administration's abysmal record with countering the Chinese threat, I'd be careful in supporting him for his China stance

No more likely the restrictions on the aid provided to Chiang and the nationalists and eventually the cutting of aid to his forces that ensured the communist victory. Truman lost China to the Communists by cutting funds while the soviets injected mass quantities of money and material to the Communist Chinese.
