I also heard that about her Irish and Asian Indian ancestors having owned a major plantation in Jamaica.

I have not heard about who her black ancestors were or where they came from.

At least they gave Barak a back story when creating his "background".

Well, to be fair…she is an accidental candidate.
No one cast a single ballot for her to be a candidate for the office. She was picked to be the VP precisely because she was considered Black and because she is a woman. Now she was picked to be the Presidential candidate because the DNC finally figured out that Biden was going to lose the election to Trump.

One slight but important correction, she was chosen because she is a "woman".

Yes, she was foisted on the democrats.

Likely the reason presidents started selecting their VP instead of 2nd place getting the job. Even more limited illusion of choice.

Regardless, her being chosen was not based on her capabilities and political acumen, as we have seen demonstrated time and again during her term in office.
