Three things Klinger never did -
1) Never acted like a coward during serious moments of battle.
2) Never shirked his duties.(Sure he complained. . .A LOT. . .but he still did his job)
3) Didn't flee the country when the draft notice came nor pulled stolen valor bullcrap.
As for the actor Jamie Farr-
While drafted he didn't do any front line stuff. He helped create training movies and worked with the USO to help keep the soldiers' morale up. While not 'glamourous or heroic' he still served way more honorably than Tampon Tim No Balls To The Walz.
