But is it seeking or is it stirring conflict? One might be conflict solely for the sake of conflict, whereas with the other, conflict can lead to all sorts of other avenues.

Or maybe it's actually repelling conflict.
Unless things have changed recently, from what I know, Finlay can't ban members from commenting permanently sitewide. (Unless the OP means is talking about a timer or a particular stream?)
So maybe it's frustration with begging/blaming from those who don't really know what's going on.

Imagine getting bombarded every day with all manner of requests, and often rather ungratefully at that. Some are smoochy one second, them kicking the shin the next comment. People asking for the lifting of a ban while acting like they don't know the reason for it or that they're not guilty for what they did. Lack of remorse isn't exactly lesson learned and hardly grounds for a reversal.

So maybe this is a way of telling them to shove off for some introspection,,,

It was an issue here in msmg, Andrew has been, as far as we know, unfairly permabanning individuals here who haven't broken the tos or even the stream rules. It's an issue with power more or less.

Anyways, it doesn't much matter whether it is seeking or stirring conflict, as him getting upset when I attempt to respond is unfounded either way.
