Trump is an idiot who's only trying to avoid accountability, and Republicans represent a shrinking minority of the American population, and only cling to the power they do because we broke the system the founders designed. That game won't last forever, and most of us have already grown incredibly weary of it.
That said, Republican policies usually benefit me personally - the permanent 20% tax cut they gave me in '17 while those for the poors started expiring in '21 has kept several times the median American wage out of the Treasury's hands, and I sold my house in Texas for more than 250% of what I paid for it. I'm just also capable of seeing beyond the end of my own nose.
