That was my reaction too. It would seem to be an old 'The Onion' type of political satire; but since he's a leftist and The Onion was owned and operated by leftists, that seems unlikely. I am tending to discount it as an elaborate fake hit-piece; but I have yet to be convinced one way or the other.

It is not real and right leaning people should drop it. There are plenty of other real things to criticize Walz about; stolen valor, tyrannical lockdown during Covid, tampons in boys bathrooms, the BLM riots to name a few.
