Other than the blatantly obvious that Imane Khelif looks like a man, why isn't the explanation like "well, she does look very masculine, but she is a woman, but has been taking some steroids or testosterone injections to build more muscle for boxing and that's why she failed the World Boxing gender test."
Rather the explanation is "she identifies as a female while having XY-chromosomes, which is a genetic condition that affects 8% of women. Many transgender XY-chromosome persons are misassigned gender and have to deal with similar issues."
The defenders of Khelif are only inferring that Khelif is indeed a male boxing against women. Then they show pictures of Khelif as a youth, who still clearly looks like a boy. Then the defenders say well "Khelif often was ridiculed and bullied on her all-boys soccer team".
Finally, I'm like...umm..the defenders of Khelif are not providing evidence to support their assertion.
