They don't have to allow free speech on their platform, because, they aren't the government and the constitution doesn't apply to them. Hence the need for other social media platforms.

It's because there's a law that makes them not responsible for things posted to their platform if they 1. Take anything down that's illegal within a reasonable time of being notified of it and 2. Don't restrict what's posted to their platform.
They are failing at both 1 and 2. When Trump gets in he plans to make them choose between immunity and doing 1 and 2.
