The next morning...
Calais woke up with Blobbi lying on her stomach, slimy drool coming out of his mouth. She smiled and wiped it away with the the back of her hand. As she did that, Blobbi began to open his groggy eyes. He took a minute to awake fully.
"Morning..." Blobbi said drowsilly (that's a word right?).
Calais got up, holding Blobbi like a plushie, and walked over to the dining room to find two plates of microwaved waffles with a half-full bottle of syrup next to it. The two sat down and ate. They didn't say anything during breakfast. Nothing about what happened the night before, or anything else for that matter. Blobbi just ate his waffles, no thoughts, head empty. Calais, however, was deeply thinking about what she had done. She was still embarrassed, even if Blobbi didn't seem so. She couldn't make eye contact. Neither could Blobbi. He just cared about his waffles.
Eventually they finished eating, and got ready to go find Peyton, after all, she had promised them a ride straight to the kings castle, where their exit was housed. They were prepared to leave, when Tommy called out for them to stop.
"Wait..." Tommy started. "I wanna thank you guys..."
"Oh, it's fine, really." Blobbi replied.
"It's just... you guys are the only people who have been nice to me besides my mom and brother..." Tommy said shyly. "Nobody at school likes me... they all think I'm annoying."
"Aw, you're not annoying!" Blobbi reassured Tommy. "You're a great kid. Sure, you're a little eccentric, but you're funny, caring, and compassionate."
"Really? You think so?" Tommy said with a smile.
"Yup." Blobbi said with a smile.
"Thank you..." Tommy replied. "It... means a lot."
"No problem bud." Blobbi said as he pat Tommy's back.
