Once, there was a girl named Calais.

Calais was hurt. She had been injured, and had to take a century-long rest in order to recover. She didn't who she was, or how she was injured, she didn't remember. She remembered some things, but the few she did, were faint and blurry. She had been taking her long sleep on top of the tallest peak in the Eternal Mountains, the tallest point in hell itself.

As the final dream of the many she had ended...

Her adventures began.

Calais opened her eyes and stood, confused. She felt the memories of her dreams fade, and took a second to try and remember. She couldn't. She knew she was missing something important, but couldn't remember what. It was a feeling that made her feel sick in the stomach. She eventually concluded that she couldn't find her answer by simply sitting under a tree at the mountain peak.

Eventually, after gathering the strength to move once again, she got up and began to make her way down the mountain. But the moment she stepped away from the tree...

There was a slice of blue light in front of her, and the tip of the mountain peak, the one she was standing on, fell off.

And she fell with it.

Falling, and falling, until...

*Squish*

Squish? That couldn't be right ...

Calais landed in a goop puddle, a rather elastic one at that. She was unharmed, but still had a rush of adrenaline from the fall.

Suddenly, the puddle slipped out from under her, and... ran?

She followed it to a rock, where it hid underneath. Calais picked it up and it slipped off, and ran again.

It kept running, until it bonked into the wall of a steep mountain that jutted out of the ground and splatted, before falling flat.

Calais picked it up, and poured a bit of water she grabbed from a nearby pond in a canteen, and poured the water on it.

"AAAAA!"

Calais jumped back. The slimeball fell out of her hand and looked around, startled.

"O-oh... it's you."

"H-hiya! I'm Blobbi. The... blob."

"What's your name?"

Calais told Blobbi her name.

"Calais? It's... cool"

Calais wanted to thank Blobbi for saving her life, but she wasn't sure how. So she asked him.

"Aw, that's nice of you, but ya don't need to repay little old me!"

Calais insisted that she should.

"W-well..."

"There is one thing I do need help with, but..."

"..."

Calais insisted once more, saying she would help him anything.

"It's too much to ask of you though... I know saving a life is good, but I don't want to put this kind of burden onto you."

Calais promised that she would see it through, and make sure she would help, no matter what.

"You're sure? Ok then..."

"I'm trapped. I'm trapped in this little blob body. This isn't what I look like, either. I was sealed away a long time ago, when I was just a little kid. I didn't know any better, I was just born. I was very powerful... but they were afraid of me for it. I couldn't control what happened, or what I did, but they were afraid of me. They locked me away, in an eternal prison. An empty void, with nothing in it. It was maddening. However..."

"Recently, a powerful presence appeared, and a crack formed in the seal. I was able to take this form because of it. It was just enough for me to take the form of a blob, but... I feel empty. I feel incomplete, and wrong. I ask for your help in breaking the seal. Are you sure you're still up to the task, Calais?"

Calais thought. Thought for a long time. But eventually...

She accepted.
