I think you're looking for the term "Jamaica-American", like Jamaican immigrants and communities refer to themselves. When Kamala was State AG of California, she always referred to herself as Jamaican and not "black" or "African-American". It wasn't until she ran for President and dropped out due to not winning a single delegate out of the 3900 delegates in the 2020 campaign.

Besides, native people were living in the Caribbean for thousands of years before 1492, and they weren't African. They came from the mainland of South and Central America.
