Upvoted. Essentially there were two reasons:

First the MSM vastly exaggerated how much influence Barack Obama ever really had over either the radical Left or average Dem Party citizen voters.

Second, the DNC had already given the Mainstream Media their political marching orders to promote Dementia Joe Biden to the heavens. Since the average Dem Party voter is conditioned to unthinkingly BELIEVE whatever the Dem Party controlled MSM tell them to believe, one could therefore say that it was inevitable that Obama's -- and Robert Gates -- prescient warning was ignored.

I thought obama was just talking about joe's insistence on using his crack head son as the liaison in their influence peddling, extortion/bribery scheme.

He actually meant it in an all round, general way.
