Well I said I last went 2019, but turns out it was actually 2017, for War for the Planet of the Apes (this time it was Kingdom of) gosh, time flies. Ticket was $12.50, if not still 10.50. I fergit.
I never buy food there, my usual ritual was to go to Checker Burgers on the way there, but due to time constraints and the fact that Checker Burgers is now gone from that location (Co-op City, Bx), I just rushed straight to the theater.
I heard recently it's the movie companies that make the most off ticket sales, and cinemas generate most of their income off of concessions, so I figure I might as well toss some extra money their way. Them hot dogs always smelled nice, although you got to wonder how long they've been baking there, but still... Anyways, at that price, I skipped it.
Isn't Netflix losing customers too or something, some jam they said about last year? I don't know, I avoid them.
The Infrastructure Bill, they announced last year about it funding some railway tunnel thingy connecting Jersey and lower Manhattan to be completed around 2033. It's a big deal, a costly project they've been trying to get funding for for the longest. But now that it's happening, everybody forgot. There'll be a big noise when it's finally completed, of course, but between now and then and after, nobody's going to be thanking Biden. This isn't the Hoover Dam with FDR's name tattooed on it in invisibible ink. None of these projects will be, and no one will care. How could Biden have been around this long and not noticed that the days that these type of things were big deals are long gone? Not that some train tracks under the Hudson are gonna light up the South and whatnot anyways or repairing potholes in Pig Scro Oklahoma will rival the first time paved roads replaced dirt roads there during the Depression.
Gas prices went down how long ago? And yet the propagandists are still complaining like they're high. There's no way food prices are going to go down to 2019 levels by the election, and even if they did last year already, they still be complaining like they were still high.
Now in a shrewd move sure to win the votes of future citizens, he announced he's giving amnesty to 500,000 spouses of long term illegals.
Is it my imagination, or is Biden doing his damnedest to make sure that Trump wins?
I never saw anybody try so hard to lose an election. Why couldn't he have been this politically suicidal back in 2008 so that Obama wouldn't have selected him for his VP?
