How was that racist though?

They've sent numerous spy balloons over here, they even been trying to purchase property next to military installations. They got spyware in their computer chips, even social media like TikTok.

The US turned China into the world's 2nd biggest economy by outsourcing to them to produce cheaper versions of goods we sell. There are American companies whose products are all made in China, and there are Chinese companies who sell imitations of those, and quite a few of those in violation of international copyright laws.

And it's not just that, the Chinese have been historically very adept at copying. Whether it be Ming Dynasty vases, old coins (you do not want to buy silver dollars - Chinese or American - while visiting there or from there on eBay), even fossils. The first two 'feathered' dinosaurs turned out to be fakes assembled out of different dinosaur bones with the feathers etched.

They denied being the source of COVID-19, whether it be from a pangolin, or a lab. They deny access to investigators seeking the origins of it should it be there. Then they developed a strain of it last year with a 100% kill rate.

Now minimiing the exports to what the OP did may be wrong, but we're not buying or selling products made in China at exorbitant prices, we're selling them cheaper than the same produced here.
Their production of EV vehicles is very heavily subsidized, and the purposes is to corner of the market. It's basically a really expensive car sold for a way lower price than its competitors can. That's the same thing Japan did to knock American auto producers off the top decades ago. Eventually, of course, they'll start raising prices after our production have been rendered nil.

Now if the OP referred to the old trope of them as imitators, that would be one thing, but the OP said that cheap knockoffs, amongst other things, was their Chief exports, not sole, nor suggested they were incapable of doing otherwise.

Interesting, thanks for posting...
I'd like to find one of these nifty Snoopy coins! 😉

A quicky search turned up this one, a bargain as a couple I seen on eBay were $115 and up, with the lowest at $80. But I had to stop searching as I tend to overdo that (most of my activing on this site is actually just searching for images and reading stuff on prehistoric creatures and whatnot elsewhere).

Cool! Ya, I'm a sucker for all things collectible Peanuts/Snoopy. Especially Snoopy's WWI flying Ace & Great pumpkin stuff 🎃

You would buy that for that price?
Looks more a medallion rather than a true coin with a monetary value. Some places issue Good-For-One-Year/Municipal Trade Tokens that are worth a dollar or something locally for a year, then they expire.

Did you see the USPS stamps from a couple years ago?

I probably would'nt buy it for that price, too much- and like you said, not a real coin... I'm not really up on coin collecting, other than knowing that real gold & silver is desirable. Same with the Trump "coins" you see for sale all over the internet. Most are dirt cheap, made in China, and again- not real coins. Some are marketed as golf-ball markers, uhhg. But I have seen a few real ones (precious metals) - for those with deep pockets

I collect coins quite a bit. And some stamps.

Careful for pieces that aren't actually just gold plated.

They'd sell gold and silver as bullion pieces, not actual coins either.
Some might have a psuedo-monetary looking value assigned to them, as Norfed Liberty Dollars once did ($20 Liberty Dollars, etc).
Although there's some countries, like Liberia and Niue, that have tons of coins issued in their names (solely for collectors, they never circulate) that do cover anybody, so probably Trump Trump. I haven't exactly looked!

Honestly had he not mentioned Covid I would have left this meme alone.

But we have no proof that Covid was intentionally let out by China and until such time we shouldnt be stating it as fact. I know they won’t let scientists in to investigate its origins and it sucks.

Mainly because it’s led to violence and racism against Asian Americans and other Asian people to be treated more like a disease then the actual go***amn disease by these racist skid marks.

Even to this day I have to deal with people blaming my wife for something she had no control over or telling her to go back home when she hasn’t seen her family in years and even missed her grandmas funeral because of the pandemic.

Just wanted to chime in here to agree that Chinese immigrants (whether illegal or not) are probably the least worrisome of the bunch. Anyone who knows Chinese people knows that most of them have jobs- unlike some other ethnic groups. They come from a working culture, hard working in most cases- Something that can't be said for all migrant groups. The possibility of Chinese spys is real though, and should be closely monitored. However anyone who can cook & run restaurants like the Chinese can't be all bad. Just my opinion

I’m sure people about to lose their homes because of the interest rates have doubled due to inflation caused by a shortage of goods due to every international border being closed who had nothing to do with wuhan bat farming would spare some sympathy for Chinese people. Most people are smart enough to blame the flea and not the rat for the plague.

No bleeding heart gives a mile high club about white people being held accountable for what happened to native peoples and Africans during colonialism 200 years ago, especially when leftist vitriol is directed at caucasians of polish, Croatian etc decent who had literally nothing to do with what whitey did to Native Americans.
But when the poor oppressed Chinese people are made accountable for their actions in late 2019 it’s sacrilegious. And you wonder why conservatives are convinced 21st century liberalism is an excuse to hate white people, nothing more, nothing less.

Polish and Croatian? Really?
Ain't anybody heard that, and that's despite the fact that there were Poles amongst the very first Jamestown settlers. African slaves got to wait till a decade later.

Pretty obvious you weren't around back when John Paul II became Pope in 1978, because quite literally overnight Polish joke books disappeared, vanished, and I mean gone so thoroughly that nobody even noticed, at least not out loud. Add to that the 1980s Solidarność movement, and centuries of derogatory remarks (check out what Napoleon described them as) which were a curious norm against Poles became verboten. Literally. Totally.

Physically assaulting Americans of Chinese or others of apparent Asian backgrounds in the streets might be what a certain ilk 'considers' holding them accountable, but hey, you never know, someone among them might be a future Pope too, and as we saw with the Polish...

^white and of British/french/swiss/ancestry.

Can’t say for the rest of America but I certainly think America should be doing more to both protect our current Native American population and making up for our misdeeds of the past. Where that would begin I’d ask them though well except for the southern tribes that are in desperate need of access to water guaranteed by treaties but not enforced.

And I think it’s bullshit slave owners got reparations but not former slaves to which my family fought in the union because we were anti slavery…because our family was brought over as indentured servants. (Don’t get me wrong they were still racist af but at least they had some inclination as to why slavery is wrong.) I strongly support reparations not just for slavery but red lining, and the forced relocation of black families to build our highways.

The Chinese people didn’t choose this pandemic anymore than the Americans when the Spanish flu outbreak occurred. Even if you believed that it was intentionally let put/had a leak that’s a critique for their government not their current/former. Too which no one has definitive proof of.

Yeah, I seen something of that when we moved to this (Italian) neighborhood when I was 8. Apparently in my spare time I burned buildings down in the South Bronx and mugged people because my ma is Puerto Rican and that's what we do. Burn our homes down so our lovely landlords can collect the insurance. They used to tell me to go back home, that I didn't belong here. That's right, kids whose parents lived in Mussolini's Italy and came here illegally after WWII told ME to go home.

At least they found me sufficiently intimidating to not physically attack me, so it wasn't as bad as what Chinese went through after il Douche Trump demonized them in 2020.

So, yeah, I understand where you're coming from.

Honestly I’m kinda glad I called him on it though because it triggered him enough to go full mask off.

But I kinda suspected as much since I’ve seen this user use racist terms like “breeders” before.

Sorry you had to go through all that though. I was raised by Jehovahs witnesses that had me spend time with families of every race in the Kingdom Hall early and even those with mental handicaps so we could appreciate them as fellow brothers and sisters. After getting booted out it still sort of shocks me how blatantly racist and mean spirited people can be to each other in real life.

Since I’m white as sour cream usually the worst is assuming I’m like the op here until I sit listen and say I agree with them. Usually I learn something new. But it also means that racists like op in real life feel comfortable letting their masks off and then get defensive when I call them on it.

Hell even at my work had a new employee talking about the “kung flu” like it was funny…told em it was racist and stupid because my wife is Chinese and we have 5 Chinese coworkers all within earshot of my area. When they said they weren’t racist and I could be more polite about my grievances I retorted “This is me being polite. Next time it goes to hr and I let them know your thoughts on the “kung flu.”

Guys been walking on eggshells ever since and now I feel bad because I actually sat in on his interview and greenlit him assuming his navy experience would mean he wouldn’t pull that crap. Guess I was wrong.
