I recently trained my puppy to have a reaction to certain verbal cues.

It's a lot less impressive when humans do it.

Using respectful language, and calling out disrespectful language, is always important -- in humans as much as in dogs. If you don't care about that, it tells on you, not your puppy.

And did someone actually come to you and tell you that they felt disrespected by my language...or do you think crying on the internet about no-no words somehow helps people?

If you're slurring disabled people here, you're probably doing the same in the rest of your life, because of course you're not a coward who would confront people online in ways you wouldn't face to face, correct?
