Children are not coerced into this things they are usually optional events done with parents permission. Not to make them trans but to have them see these people out in public so they don’t have knee jerk reactions to them in public like conservatives do.

Teachers only keep trans and gay children’s confidential if they fear the parent is not supportive of that child or will punish the child. As several Christian households will throw a fit if they find out their child isn’t hetero and straight. Sending them to conversion camps that don’t work or worse even kicking them out of their home. Because it’s all a misguided belief that being gay or trans is optional. You are who you are you don’t learn to be that way.
