I'll admit it was a tried and old joke, I have rarely seen a lesbian that I considered attractive but then again, I only know a few. Interesting enough I have known a few lesbians that I went to school with that married straight males, so I guess either they were not true lesbians, or a male did in fact change them, either way, I am glad they found someone.

You are guilty of being hypocritical, I don't think you meant it that way. Not wanting straight males to hit on the ladies but also pointing out the straight males should expect to be hit on and should be ok with it. Since I think we are both more live and let live types, that particular discussion is really pointless, but I do think the meme is spot on. We don't seem to have any problems between us.

I don't consider woke and gay the same group but more of a subset. I'll explain, I see anyone loudly proclaiming to be woke of a Karen type, take me as I am and like it or else type person. I have interacted with a few gay people over the years and never had the type of issues we joked about earlier, no one hit on anyone and there were zero problems. Since I am not close to a major city, I rarely interact with anyone, my social circle is small.

The more militant woke types that I have interacted with tended to end badly. My go to response to anyone introducing themselves as "I am X and I identify as X and my pronouns are X" end badly for them, I don't let anyone tell me how I will address them. I make that determination after I meet them; rarely do they get a vote. Mutual respect or you get none and can expect none.

As a queer person I've never had someone introduce themselves like that unless they were 12.

Unfortunately, I have met a few that tried the "my pronoun is x crap" it might have just been a fad but like I pointed out, neither myself nor anyone else bought into it. Out here your work ethic is one of your most important traits, as long as someone can pull their weight little else matters.
