I’ve had this in my mind for quite a while, but I didn’t want to make any accusations at first. However, this post right here perfectly demonstrates what I’m talking about, so I’m gonna go ahead and say what has been on my mind.

Something that I don’t like about Western “““anti-zionists””” is that, just like zionists, they tend to think based on their emotions rather than actually conducting critical thought or analysis based on material conditions. Not all Westerners do this, but oh boy there are definitely the people most guilty of doing so. Instead of using an objective definition of the word “antisemitic” to describe what certain anti-zionist groups might espouse and then condemning it, they duckspeak about the vibe they get from anti-zionists without pinpointing *exactly* what they find to be antisemitic. Sort of like how a Zionist accuses every Palestine supporter to automatically be antisemitic.

I hate this shit too since it creates an unfalsifiable argument. Obviously there are anti-zionists who are only supporting Palestine because they’re antisemitic, so you’re technically not wrong. However, instead of describing exactly what you’re trying to condemn, you just make a post about how “some anti-zionists” have ulterior motives. On an anti-zionist group.

This isn’t the first time you’ve done something like this either. In the past, you’ve also stated that you “kinda condemn Hamas” without giving a clear explanation of *why* you condemn Hamas, instead opting for basing your claim on the general sorta vibe you get due to the fact they get negatively reported in msm to an obscene amount. It’s also unfalsifiable, because no one can make the claim that Hamas is absolutely perfect, so you use it to condemn the militant aspect of anti-zionism without making it clear why you’re criticizing it (making you look borderline like a Zionist shill).

Here’s what I’m talking about btw: imgflip.com/i/8ph2ju#com31457051

Now I don’t want to accuse you of having ulterior motives, and I do believe that you’re an anti-zionist who is expressing their genuine grievances. However, if there’s one thing that I’d like for you to take away from this, it’s to be clear about what you mean when you condemn some aspects of anti-zionism, and maybe do some critical evaluation beforehand.

Seriously though, it’s a serious issue that Westerners have been taught from conception to have a grossly oversimplified political worldview on politics, whether domestic or abroad. Media has taught these people to think of everything, especially international conflict that the U.S. forces themselves in for their own benefit, as a 2 dimensional “good vs bad guys” situation. Hell, they’re not shy about it either. The department of defense openly admits to working with Hollywood to propagandize people, which is why you tend to see the “U.S. good guys” trope a lot.

https://www.defense.gov/News/Feature-Stories/Story/Article/2062735/how-why-the-dod-works-with-hollywood/

It’s also the cause for a lot of strange recent decisions like introducing a Zionist superhero (Sabra).

They were never taught to think for themselves, and they were never taught the concept of political literacy. Instead, they get fed this slop, so they can later support US-backed terrorism knowingly or unknowingly “because it feels right”. This shit even happens in so-called Western “anti-zionist” discourse like you mentioned, because they only support Palestine since it feels good, not because they actually give a shit about the subjugation of the Palestinian people. This is also why you’ll often see these types “support Palestine but condemn Hamas”, because supporting the group that actually militantly opposes genocide doesn’t feel good in their brainwashed narrative.

Before, I looked at these brain dead people (think politics and pro genocide coalition) and wondered why they were so passionate about politics when they clearly haven’t done their research or even any critical thought. I mean, all they did was the equivalent of quacking like a duck, meaning they were definitely making sounds but sounds that barely resembled coherent thought. However, I now realized it was because of this, the propaganda that the state department spoonfeeds them on a day to day basis. So much so that even people who supposedly oppose what it does still have their narratives ingrained into their mind.
