Double stanDarDs are still their only stanDarDs. Consistency is not always a plus.⬆️

I mean, but this would apply to the bible too, sadly.

Not even by a little bit. There is only one standard in the Bible and that is God's standard. To suggest a duality in the Bible is to shout that one has no idea what is contained therein. A person should understand the source document before attempting to denigrate it.

Bruh. There's a story in the bible about a man commanded to cum in his sister and he's punished for pulling out. If you're going to ban explicit books, the bible is gonna have to go too.

Such a sad lack of understanding it takes to bring some one to focus on this. The Bible is so real that it shows the inadequacies of humanity, that we are imperfect and absolutely need someone outside of us to save us. The Bible, it's message, and the One that initiated everything is the focus. The Bible tells the world that God wants no one to perish. It also says that there are those that because either they have so seared their conscience against intervening in their lives, they are in such rebellion against God and His standards, or they are just not up to the simple task of putting their own lack of understanding aside to have it all explained to them. There are 4 categories of those seeking the truth:
1. Those who have found the truth and KNOW that He is God.
2. Those that are seeking and are open to hearing the truth.
3. Those that aren't seeking but are willing to listen to it.
4. You and those like you.
If it were proven to a reasonable doubt that God and the Bible were the most reasonable interpretation of life and the world as we know it, would you become a follower of Jesus?

I actually already follow Jesus, I still don't want my kid reading the sections about incest in the bible. If you took those parts out, THEN you could allow the bible in schools, of course, we'd have to include all religious texts as long as they're censored to be sfw.

You are going to have a tough time when you realize where the children of Adam and Eve got their spouses from. Censoring the word of God? That has never ended well for those that have tried it.

Well, then I guess we'd need to just ban it.

It's clever. Assign some of the lewdest, most disgusting literature as mandatory children's content. Make it impossible to use as evidence as it is too amoral for public consumption. Rinse and repeat.

Like 1984? I hated that. It reads like a porno without the porn.

I remember that I didn't like it either when I read it in high school (got VERY uncomfortable with the sexual aspect of it), but reading it as an adult was a bit more mind-blowing and kinda weird.

Eh, maybe I'll re-read it and see if it's any good.
