They can make all the good movies they want. None of the streaming services or theaters will touch them.

Pure Flix, Angel Studios, just to name 2. Movie theaters will go out of business waiting for Hollywood to create something worth watching... There is hope.

Both those aren't popular apps that you can get on things like roku or Playstation.

Here’s to hoping they make good movies. I think their gimmick is a bit silly, but if it’s stupid and it works, it’s not stupid, I guess.

If you want to really know what 'stupid' is, you need look no further than the woke agenda in this country. I believe in equal rights but not when it comes to mental illness.

We have teachers with an agenda to alter the very basic instincts of our children. This is our most malleable population and the one that will set the course for our future. If that doesn't concern you, then you certainly have not covered the issue sufficiently. Virtue signaling at the cost of our children is unconscionable.

Please, there is no “agenda”. As someone who’s mother is an educator, father who is a college professor, and mother-in law is a superintendent, I can assure you that no such agenda exists, and it’s all just fear mongering.

And if it’s really “mental illness”, shouldn’t all this fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and therefore be protected?

I could not disagree more. It is indoctrination. Hard to argue that it is not going on. Our blonde-haired, blue-eyed granddaughter was shamed in school for past wrongs of 'white people' while the teacher and classmates made her feel responsible. Don't worry, she is no longer a student there. Another granddaughter (in another state) has THREE transsexuals on her school bus. What are the chances of that normally occurring within an extremely small group of kids?

Mental illness is exactly that....an 'illness' and it is to be medically treated. It is not to be 'advanced as role modeling' for our vulnerable children. The Democrat Party has become the group destroying common sense while advancing criminal behavior and an open borders policy that is unsustainable. We should NOT protect and defend mental illness as a tutorial for Americans.

Respectfully offered....have you followed any of the School Board meetings with students actually attending who support the facts I have offered above in experience? Have you listened to the parents of children at the meetings? Have you not seen the awkward videos of confused teachers bragging about what they are teaching in our schools? There are countless articles in the news but if you don't open your eyes to the facts and instead support this crazy agenda, you are helping to lower the standards of education. Once we lose our country, she will be gone forever.

And no, being trans is not a mental illness. What IS an illness is gender dysphoria, which should absolutely be treated. Listen, we both know that, quite frankly, kids aren’t all that bright, but they know more than we give them credit for, especially about themselves. And before you start overreacting with “but what if they’re wrong?” Then take solace in the fact that no irreversible procedures or treatments are done to people under 18. That is, no amount that suggests it’s regular practice.

And yes, I do know all those school board meetings where parents shriek about CRT and LGBTQ+ education. Those fears are largely unfounded. Heck, CRT (I mean actual Critical Race Theory and not the umbrella term invented by the GOP) is only taught in Law School. If what you say happened to your granddaughter really did happen the way you said it did, I’m sorry she felt that way, and she shouldn’t have been put in that situation. But if you’re telling the truth, know that was a vast exception to the rule. Again, I’m not condoning the alleged action, just saying it only happens very rarely.

I’m familiar with Mrs. Backman’s reputation. But I get the feeling that she genuinely cares about this country, just has been caught up in a hurricane of confirmation bias and conspiracy. Maybe it’s naive of me to think that she can change, but I’ve seen people I previously wrote off actually turn out to be great conversationalists, even if we disagree on things. I think Mrs. Backman here may be another example of exactly that
