Flu with no flu ymptoms, but a mystifying loss of sense of smell and taste previously not experienced by anybody with any variant of the flu. Oh, and long-term effects including hearts that dance Merengue and even months or years later if exerted can go into seizures.
Anyways, that's how I figured I had it the first time. In February 2020 I had a headache for 9 days. Straight. Continuous. Then my taste was altered for several foods. A real foul aftertaste. I was throwing stuff out because I figured they had gotten spoiled. Some flavors recovered after a few months (yay, pizza!), others, like candy corn and other corn syrup crap, just months ago.
In 2021, it was migraines for close to 2 weeks. Everyday, but they came and went. Had a pecan pie in the fridge that didn't taste right, but my sense of taste wasn't as severely affected otherwise.
I was joking about pangolin dick tea at the time, turns out I might have been right. But it seems rather likely that this was something that leaked out of a lab in China. Yeah, they deny it, then came out with a new version featuring a 100% kill rate a few months ago! Yup, they didn't come up with this at all!
